Generative Art — An Analysis of Archetype
Archetype explores the use of repetition as a counterweight to unruly, random structures. As each single component look chaotic alone, the repetition brings along a sense of intentionality, ultimately resulting in a complex, yet satisfying expression.
Archetype is designed and scripted by the generative Artist Kjetil Golid from Norway https://generated.space
Archetype was published as a curated project on the artblocks.io platform. Artblocks.io is a first of its kind platform focused on genuinely programmable on demand generative content that is stored immutably on the Ethereum Blockchain. When buying a piece of the limited serie (600 pieces) a randomly generated version of the piece was created by an algorithm and sent to the buyers Ethereum wallet as an NFT. The resulting piece is unique and immutable — thanks to its generative algorithm and the tokenization on Ethereum.
Hence each output is different and there are endless possibilities. This type of art is truly unique and due its generative nature, each piece becomes its own small art piece with its very own and unique properties.

The impact of minting
Fun fact: All 600 Archetype pieces were minted within less than 50 blocks. This sale alone impacted the transaction fees/gas prices by 500% for a short period
